Disarm Hate

The main concept of this solution focuses on the humanistic aspect with the hand rendered type that is shown throughout the CD booklet and back cover. The hand rendered type was chosen because it represents the human emotions better than type that is straight and perfect, like those found on a computer. On the front cover, the word “hate” is weaving between the word “disarm” to show how hate can have an effect on anyone or anything. A hand drawn heart is also repeated throughout the album design to represent the hope and healing aspect of the CD. The dark purple and light blue were chosen to evoke the deep and emotional tones of the album. The outside of the album is mostly the dark purple while the interior shifts to a much lighter color, white, to signify the transition from shock to sorrow to eventually hope.
